Electricity consumption is now measured in 15-minute intervals

As of the beginning of October 2025, electricity consumption across Finland is measured in 15-minute intervals. For Herrfors Nät-Verkko’s customers, this transition has taken place smoothly, as all of our meters already measure in 15-minute intervals.

What does this mean for you?

  • You will now see your electricity consumption in 15-minute intervals.
  • Consumption monitoring is more precise and makes it easier to plan and adjust your electricity usage.
  • The change requires no action from you.

Why was the change made?

The transition is based on EU and Finnish regulatory requirements. More detailed measurement data supports the development of electricity markets, facilitates the use of renewable energy, and enables more flexible and efficient electricity consumption.
